This Saturday 8th November is the International Day of Action against the TPPA, and Kiwis are kicking things off as the first country in the world to take part. The TPPA poses an enormous threat to NZ's ability to regulate for itself, and gives foreign investors and multinationals new rights to control our laws. This could mean losing the ability to regulate our workplaces, our environment, our health and education systems and much more.
There are lots of ways you can show your support for the action, here are 4 that are easy and effective:
Thunderclap is an online tool that enables large numbers of people to make a tweet, Tumblr post and/or Facebook status update on the same day, at the same time with the same message. By signing up to this Thunderclap your message will go out to the masses at the same time everyone is marching in the streets.
Change your profile picture with your reason for marching, include this pages URL (www.actionstation.org.nz/tppa) and you can help spread the word. Click on the image below to choose from our designs.
There are 16 events happening all around the country with 15,000 people expected to attend nationwide. You can find your local event from the list below:
By signing up to our mailing list and joining the ActionStation community we can alert you of important news and help you take part in meaningful coordinated action.
