US bosses of MediaWorks in NZ for a ratings review

This could be our second chance to:

pb_(8).png

Following the ratings crash at TV3, Jay Wintrob the CEO of Oaktree Capital (the company poised to take 100% ownership of MediaWorks) and Jonas Mitzschke (also of Oaktree Capital) are in New Zealand to find out what has been going on at MediaWorks New Zealand. They'll be making a review of the decisions that led to this decline.

This could be our chance to bring back Campbell Live.

Use the form on the right to send a quick email to Jay Wintrob, Jona Mitzschke, Mark Weldon (CEO of MediaWorks) and Julie Christie (Board Member of MediaWorks).

Together we can show them that if they are serious about saving the network they need to bring back John Campbell and Campbell Live. Some people have asked, would John and his team really want to go back to the channel that has treated them so poorly? We can't speak for John Campbell or his team, but we have spoken to some of them to ensure this isn't a terrible idea. In fact, we think if there was a big enough shake up at TV3, they may well be happy to return. Wouldn't that be bloody marvellous?

Let's stand together once again and show our commitment to quality, public interest, investigative journalism for the people of NZ.

Bring back Campbell Live he was able to relate to all people and wasn’t bias, everyone always looked forward to watching him and his team investigate certain issues or see something funny. Campbell Live was always full of variety. Please bring Campbell back

Bringing back Campbell live would return a lot of viewers to TV3. It was a stupid decision to have made .

Do what the government does not – Listen to the people, and in doing so bring back independent investigative unbiased journalism that is relevant and meangiful for your viewers – whom are currently being fed shite from Mike Hosking and co, or the unconstructive uneducated teenage style conversations on The Project. JC held that mantle for a reason until fascism took over from democracy and free speech.

No longer watch channel 3 during the time slot. A really bad decision to axe Campbell Live. I hope TV1 makes better use of his expertise.

JC IS the only legit journalist on the TV. I no longer watch TV 3 because of your decision to drop him. You have nothing to equal him even now………

The axing of ‘Campbell Live’ has left a huge gap in Mediaworks programming. Citizens want quality, relevant investigative journalism. By denying this you have shot yourselves in the foot and got only bad ratings to show for it.

People are sick of the GNats and their nasty suck up wannabe journalists, aka Mike Hosking, Duncan Garner. We need a honest refreshing point of view. Bring Back Campbell Live! We demand it

A major percentage of New Zealanders need and want John Campbell back on prime-time TV as an investigative journalist. The programmes that replaced Campbell Live were rubbish!
