"We exist within a multi-dimensional environment which is constantly changing. In order to be equipped to face this environment, it is important that we keep abreast with news, views and analysis. The newspaper is an important source that helps fulfil that need." - Vivek
The news can sometimes be an awful read, and that means we sometimes want to switch off and disengage. It is important, however, to read what’s going on in our country and world if we are going to be effective citizens of change. By taking this pledge, you are committing to not only read a newspaper or engage with online news once a week. By engaging in the news once a week, you may be able to spot campaigns we should run, or injustices we should rally around and you’ll be able to let us know.
Pledge to step up and stay engaged (despite the negatives) in 2015.

This pledge is part of #smallactionsBIGCHANGE where we invite hundreds of Kiwis to commit to one small action throughout 2015 that when amplified by the many can create really big change. The more of us that commit to action, the more impact that action will have. We will track and measure the results to showcase the tangible, overall impact our individual actions are having.
