Join us on February 28th to learn the skills you need to have effective and powerful conversations about climate change.
Powerful and well-resourced lobbying works, that's why corporations spend literally billions of dollars on lobbyists and advocates every single year. Opponents of real climate action or environmental stewardship have developed a remarkably wide-ranging and creative set of tactics to challenge any policy intended to address climate change.
Climate change is a deeply divisive issue. How do people working on climate change move from reacting against dominant frames and narratives, to having our own messages emerge and reinforced? Simply giving the facts is not enough. We need to know how to have an effective conversation, no matter what the situation.
Together we are equipping ourselves with the skills we need to have useful climate conversations with everyone from decision makers and media to friends and family. Join us for this one-day training in Auckland at the end of February.
You will learn:
- How to start a climate conversation
- How to ask for something
- How to deal with objections
- How to answer common questions/objections
- How to manage your own frustration
